The Week in Garden Hills – Sep 4, 2025

by | Sep 4, 2025

Dear Neighbor,

With Labor Day behind us and another idyllic Garden Hills summer in the books, I’d like to welcome you to the first edition of The Week in Garden Hills (an innovative but probably temporary title). This brief weekly newsletter from your Garden Hills Civic Association will feature timely announcements and upcoming events relevant to our community.

While there may be some overlap, this new publication is meant to supplement (not replace) the venerable Garden Hills Town Crier. The Crier will continue to be published quarterly, focusing on longer-form content such as Garden Hills history, neighbor introductions and features, and GHCA committee reports.

So, why do this? The GHCA Communications Committee hopes to provide more value to the community by:

  1. Ensuring time-sensitive updates are provided timely
  2. Eliminating most ad-hoc emails in favor of a predictable weekly rhythm
  3. Further highlighting the local businesses that have chosen to invest in Garden Hills by sponsoring the GHCA

This will be a major effort, so I’d like to take this opportunity to highlight that all GHCA members are eligible to join committees! Please contact us if you would like to help publish this newsletter and keep our community informed.

Finally, if have an announcement or event you would like to include in a future issue, please access our contact form via the button below and submit a request under the topic “Newsletter Announcement or Event.”  We respectfully ask that submissions be made at least 1 week in advance to allow for any necessary follow-ups.

Have a great weekend,

Bart Bruckert
