Pastor Steve Diehl came to Garden Hills in June of 1997, after serving churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and Illinois. Steve acknowledges that God called him to preach shortly after his conversion, but that he took the scenic route to pastoral ministry, while God was very patient with him. A graduate of the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Steve earned his master's degree from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Preaching and teaching are his passions in ministry, but he also enjoys providing pastoral care and personal encouragement for members of the congregation. Steve and his wife, Sue, have three children, one of whom is still at home. In his down time, Steve enjoys golf, fishing, and model railroading. |

Teresa Masters

Teresa came to GHBC as the church secretary in August, 1999. She assists the pastor in the every day operations of the church office. Teresa and her family live in Mahomet. Her husband works for UI, her son is a student at Parkland College studying Criminal Justice, and a McDonald's manager, and her daughter and son-in-law live in Queen Creek, AZ and teach Jr. High school in Coolidge. Teresa enjoys helping with children's ministries and small group ministries at her church, as well as greeting. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, walking, gardening, reading and taking care of her family.
